Installation Instructions
Ceramic-Rubber Hose Installation Instructions
1. Pre-Installation Preparation
1.1 Material Inspection
1. Before installation, inspect the appearance of the ceramic-rubber hose to confirm that there are no cracks in the ceramic lining, no damage to the rubber layer, and no looseness in the flange connections. Any non-conforming products must be replaced immediately.
2. Verify that the model, specification, length and connection type (flange, quick coupling, etc.) of the hose fully match the design requirements and on-site installation conditions.
3. Prepare matching auxiliary materials and tools: gaskets compatible with the conveyed medium and temperature, bolts and nuts, wrenches, torque wrenches, level gauges; if hoisting is required, prepare lifting equipment such as cranes and winches in advance.
1.2 On-Site Environment Inspection
1. Ensure the installation site is clean and free of debris, obstacles and other factors that may affect construction.
2. Confirm that the ambient temperature on site is within the applicable range of the hose (the standard operating temperature range is -20℃ to 80℃; refer to the product manual for special working conditions). Avoid installation operations in extreme temperature environments.
2. Installation Procedures
2.1 Lifting and Handling
1. During handling, never drag or throw the hose. Avoid scratching the rubber layer or bumping the ceramic lining with sharp objects.
2. If hoisting is required, use slings with a width of not less than 50mm. The lifting points shall be evenly distributed on the flange parts at both ends of the hose. Never directly lift the hose body to prevent deformation and damage.
2.2 Flange Connection
1. Clean the sealing surfaces of the hose flange and the mating equipment flange to remove oil, rust, impurities and other contaminants, ensuring the sealing surfaces are flat and undamaged.
2. Place the gasket steadily in the center of the flange sealing surface. Never allow gasket misalignment or stacking.
3. Align the bolt holes of the hose flange with those of the mating flange. When inserting bolts, keep them vertical and do not strike the bolts forcibly.
4. Tighten the nuts using the diagonal cross tightening method, applying force gradually in 2-3 stages. Finally, use a torque wrench to tighten to the torque value specified in the product manual (refer to the product technical manual for standard flange bolt torque values). Ensure uniform force distribution on all bolts to eliminate leakage risks.
2.3 Hose Positioning
1. After installation, the hose shall be naturally straight without excessive bending, twisting or stretching. The bending radius of the hose shall not be less than the minimum value specified by the product.
2. When the hose is used for connecting vibrating equipment, reserve appropriate expansion allowance to prevent vibration-induced pulling of the hose during equipment operation.
3. When securing the hose, use dedicated pipe clamps. Install rubber pads between the clamps and the hose. Never directly clamp the hose body with metal pipe clamps.
3. Post-Installation Inspection and Commissioning
3.1 Installation Quality Inspection
1. Check the tightness of the bolts at the flange connection points to confirm there is no looseness; inspect the gaskets for extrusion or deformation.
2. Verify that the installation position and angle of the hose comply with design requirements, with no twisting or stress concentration.
3.2 Commissioning
1. Before commissioning, bleed air from the pipeline, slowly increase the pressure to 50% of the working pressure, hold the pressure for 30 minutes, and check for leaks.
2. If no abnormalities are found, gradually increase the pressure to the rated working pressure, hold the pressure for 1 hour, and inspect all connection points and the hose body again to confirm there is no leakage or abnormal deformation.
3. During commissioning, observe the operation of the hose under medium conveying conditions to ensure there is no abnormal vibration or noise.
4. Precautions and Maintenance
1. Never adjust the alignment of flange bolt holes by twisting the hose after installation is completed.
2. The service medium, pressure and temperature of the hose shall not exceed the limits specified in the product technical parameters. Avoid overloading the hose, which may cause ceramic lining detachment or rubber layer aging and damage.
3. Regularly inspect the tightness of hose connections and the appearance of the rubber layer. If leaks, damage or other issues are found, shut down the system immediately for maintenance.
4. For hoses that are out of service for an extended period, drain the internal medium and store them in a dry, well-ventilated indoor environment, protected from direct sunlight and rain.

Packaging & Shipping
I. Product Packaging Standards
1.1 Inner Packaging Protection
– Given the fragility of the ceramic lining, customized plastic end caps are used to seal both ends of the hose, preventing dust and moisture from entering during transportation.
– The hose body is wrapped with 3 layers of EPE foam as a cushioning layer, and covered with a waterproof PE film on the outside to avoid scratches on the rubber layer and moisture-induced aging.
– Rigid plastic protective covers are installed on flange connection areas, and rubber plugs are inserted into bolt holes to prevent corrosion and collision damage to flange sealing surfaces.
1.2 Outer Packaging Specifications
– Standard-length hoses (≤4m): Packed in reinforced five-layer corrugated cartons. Foam strips are filled inside the cartons to fix the hoses and prevent movement during transit.
– Extra-long hoses (>4m): Wrapped with waterproof woven cloth and secured on customized steel brackets. Anti-collision angle protectors are welded at both ends of the brackets. Rubber straps are used to fasten the hoses to the brackets, eliminating rigid friction.
– Bulk orders: Packed in unitized pallet loads. Non-slip wooden pads are added at the bottom of pallets, and the entire pallet is wrapped with stretch film to meet container stacking requirements.
1.3 Labeling Requirements
– Clear product information is marked on the outer surface of packages/brackets, including model specifications, length, quantity, gross/net weight, and manufacturing date.
– International universal transportation labels are affixed, such as “Keep Dry”, “Fragile”, “This Side Up”, and “Do Not Roll”. For export orders, additional shipping marks, port of destination, and HS code are labeled.
II. Shipping Solutions and Precautions
2.1 Domestic Shipping
– Short-distance delivery (≤300km): Closed van trucks are used for transportation to ensure the products are not exposed to direct sunlight or rain.
– Long-distance transportation (>300km): Full-truckload dedicated line logistics is preferred. Palletized goods are reinforced with additional straps to prevent tipping during transit.
– Door-to-door delivery service: We support unloading goods to the customer’s designated warehouse. It is necessary to confirm in advance whether forklifts, cranes, or other unloading equipment are available on-site.
2.2 International Shipping
– Sea freight: Compatible with 20GP/40GP containers. Extra-long hoses are loaded in flat rack containers. Moisture-proof paper is laid on the inner walls of containers, and cushioning wooden squares are installed between brackets and container walls. Sea freight is cost-effective and suitable for bulk orders, with transit time varying by destination port.
– Air freight: For urgent orders, hoses can be repacked into standard cartons to meet air cargo requirements. It is necessary to confirm in advance the airline’s restrictions on over-length cargo.
– Customs clearance: A complete set of export documents is provided, including commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, and product conformity certificate, to assist customers in completing customs clearance at the destination port.
– Forklifts or cranes must be used for loading and unloading. Manual dragging and throwing of packages are strictly prohibited.
– When lifting bracket-packaged hoses, lifting points must be fixed on the dedicated lifting lugs of the brackets. Direct lifting of the hose body is not allowed.
– After unloading, products must be placed on a flat and dry site. Stacking is strictly limited to no more than 3 layers to prevent deformation of bottom packages due to excessive pressure.
